Distillery – Quebec: our whiskeys

Portneuf Whiskey
42.1% alc/vol
Mash bill: 70% Neuville corn, 15% soft white winter wheat, 15% rye.
Three years of aging in new medium-roasted American white oak barrels.
A rich and inviting nose dominated by corn, with sweet aromas of butterscotch and toasted corn. Rye adds a touch of spice and freshly cut grass, while wheat brings a delicate vanilla note.
On the palate, the sweet and warm attack is marked by flavors of pink pepper, freshly harvested corn, and butterscotch. The cereal gradually reveals itself with a silky sensation and richness brought by the wheat, while the rye intensifies the experience with its notes of spice and leather.
A long and harmonious finish where the rye spices linger, supported by notes of bitter cocoa and burnt caramel. A gentle and enveloping warmth concludes the experience.
We believe that Portneuf offers a nice balance of the three cereals and will please lovers of complexity and character.
